Synopsis
The Ohio Grape Industries Committee (OGIC), the state organization that supports and promotes Ohio’s grape growers and wineries, partnered with us to help raise awareness of Ohio’s growing wine industry. A 2025 consumer perception study revealed a surprising gap: while many consumers believe Ohio wine can compete with other regions, as many as 37% think the state has fewer than 10 wineries. In reality, Ohio is home to 430+ wineries and licensed wine manufacturers across seven regions. To help close that awareness gap, we developed the “Uniquely Ohio” campaign—a unifying platform that wineries, retailers, and regions could rally behind while giving consumers a simple, memorable way to understand that Ohio wine is worth discovering.
The campaign came to life through bold creative designed to capture attention and connect Ohio pride with Ohio wine using familiar cultural references and recognizable landmarks. The campaign extends across a wide range of touchpoints, from a dedicated landing page and digital advertising to winery materials such as pull-up banners, engaging social-worthy photo ops, and branded apparel, as well as retailer outreach, media relations, ongoing social media content, and event participation. Together, these efforts create a cohesive statewide presence that invites people to explore the people, places, and experiences that make Ohio wine Uniquely Ohio.
